- 📥 Recipient clicks Receive Files and enters the code
- ⬇️ File downloads automatically as a ZIP archive
- 🗑️ Files are immediately deleted after download

Why Security Matters When Transferring Files
As remote work frameworks and digital collaboration tools expand, the sheer volume of sensitive data transmitted daily is astronomical. Unfortunately, standard email attachments are severely limited in file size—typically capped at just 25MB—and public cloud storage drives often hold onto your uploaded data entirely too long, making them lucrative targets for data breaches. File Secure Transfer was engineered to bridge this gap by offering a high-speed, temporary tunnel for sharing large enterprise assets or personal media without leaving a trail.
When you upload a document through our platform, you aren't just sending a file; you are generating a cryptographic package. If you opt-in for password protection, your files are wrapped in a secure ZIP archive fortified by AES-standard encryption prior to storage. This ensures that even if a bad actor were to theoretically intercept the download code, they would be met with an unbreakable cryptographic wall barring them from viewing your contents.
The Advantage of Temporary File Hosting
"Digital hoarding" is the practice of keeping files stored on cloud servers indefinitely, vastly increasing the surface area for a potential cyber attack. We reject this model via our strictly enforced Zero-Retention Policy. After a recipient successfully uses their unique 6-digit access code to fetch the encrypted file ZIP, our backend application hooks instantly trigger a hard-delete command on the host server. The file is eradicated from the disk permanently.
To prevent abandoned files from clogging the system, any uploads left un-downloaded are also swept away completely by an automated 10-minute expiry script. This ruthless dedication to data minimalism guarantees 100% compliance with privacy regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA, as there is literally no residual data left on our servers to compromise.
